American wins Quest for Quality for the second year running

American Airlines Cargo has won a 2017 Quest for Quality award in the annual customer satisfaction and performance excellence survey undertaken by the Peerless Group (PRG) and Logistics Management magazine.

For more than 30 years, this prestigious survey has been undertaken over a period of six months at the start of the year. Almost 5,500 survey respondents cast their ballot across a number of criteria which saw American recognized as the best of the best for its service excellence globally.

Says Peerless Group's editorial director, Michael Levans: "When you consider the challenging environment in which transportation and logistics service providers have had to manage during the past year, we believe that walking away with a Quest for Quality Award in 2017 is nothing less than a monumental achievement that should be celebrated across your entire organization".

Receiving the trophy at a gala awards ceremony in Atlanta was Kim Trahan, American's Cargo Operations and Trucking Manager. Speaking about the award, she says: "Awards like this matter the most since they are voted on by the professionals within our industry who use our services week in and week out. We are truly grateful to them for voting for us and also to our teams around the world. Without them, we couldn't consistently deliver the exceptional service our customers expect from American."

This is the third customer-voted award American has received in 2017. In April, it was voted Cargo Airline of the Year and Best Cargo Airline of the Americas by the readers of Air Cargo News magazine.
