Increased maximum piece weight on narrowbody aircraft

April 11, 2014

We're giving you more reasons to ship with American. On April 30, we will increase our maximum piece weight for bulk-loaded shipments on narrowbody aircraft to 350 pounds (158 kgs). Previously, the maximum piece weight was 300 pounds (136 kgs).

This change will not impact existing exceptions for human remains and AOG shipments. It also will not impact regional carrier piece weight maximums.
