Dallas/Fort Worth, TX – On November 21, American Airlines Cargo safely transported 10 brown bears from Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The bears originated from the Mendoza Zoological Park, about 1200km from Buenos Aires, and will end their journey in Colorado at The Wild Animal Sanctuary.
"All team members involved worked together to ensure a successful, safe, and seamless experience for the bears and our customers," said David Vance, VP Operations for American Airlines Cargo. "It's always an honor to play such an important role in animal transport, and we are thankful to have been selected for this incredible opportunity."

American Airlines Cargo team members, along with members of The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado, assisted in the successful transportation.
The six female bears traveled in the forward cargo compartment of the aircraft, and the four male bears traveled in the after cargo compartment of the aircraft – each in their own cage.
The bears had the cargo space on the airline's B777-2 aircraft reserved entirely for themselves, and no other cargo was onboard.
After arriving at DFW, each bear was carefully loaded into a trailer for the duration of their journey to Colorado.
Fausto, the father of many of the bears traveling, soaks in all the attention.
