For businesses that plan to ship frequently
1Apply for an American Airlines Cargo shipping account
Since we’re a passenger airline, it’s important that any business based in the US/Canada/Mexico shipping goods with us must be designated as a Known Shipper in coordination with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Once your business has an account with us as a Known Shipper, you can work with your sales representative to get rates and book capacity for your shipments on American Airlines aircraft.
Learn morePlease allow 5 business days to process all new account applications. **US / Canada / Mexico based businesses (without an IAC) that intend to transport freight, including empty kennels or animal semen, will need to receive TSA’s “Verified Known” status in order to obtain an AA cargo shipping account. Ensure that your business is listed with Dun & Bradstreet to speed up the application process.
2Once approved, get online access
Once you've been assigned a PAL number, you will need to complete our Company Agreement form to request a User ID and Password that will give you access to the services available on our website. This is where you can even assign a Super Administrator and designate who's allowed access to sensitive information.

Shipping your personal Pet?
You do not need an AA Cargo shipping account to transport your personal pet, however if you would like to use a pet transport, please visit IPATA.org
Business shipping Animals?
If you are a business that needs to ship live animals, including empty kennels or animal semen, you must apply to be a TSA Known Shipper and obtain an AA Cargo shipping account.
